Mainly (but not exclusively) a capella

Short Back ‘n’ Sides is a male voice choir which can trace its roots back to the ‘Barbershop Society’ at Maidstone Grammar School in the early 1980s. Many of its members have been singing together for even longer than that, having joined Holy Cross Church Choir as trebles in the 1970s. Today Tom, Tom, Mark, Morris, Nick, Tim, Rob, Ian and Andrew are all professionals, although sadly none of them in the sphere of music... But as amateurs they enjoy singing a wide range of predominantly a capella arrangements of folk songs, spirituals, show songs and film and TV themes, by composers from Tallis to Takech; Director of Music Tom Lee has also done the odd arrangement of works including Who Do You Think You Are Kidding Mr Hitler? and the Christmas classic Rudolphus Rubrinasus.
